Luxurious living at Eastcote with Gaia underfloor heating
Wet underfloor heating throughout a luxury residential development in north-west London by fast-growing developer, London Square. The development comprises 45 one, two and three-bed apartments set behind a gated entrance off Eastcote High Street.
The apartments boast light and spacious open-plan living areas with bespoke designer kitchens. As well as being stylish, the apartments are designed for low energy consumption and are heated with low-carbon renewable technology. A wet underfloor heating system was installed throughout the development in which all the floors are of solid concrete construction. The floors are of pre-cast beam-and-block construction. On top of this structure, the installer, RPM Services, laid a foam insulation layer. Gaia then laid hydronic fixing strips and pipework over this. Control is via digital thermostats wired into timer-controllers on the heat pumps themselves.
